Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

LiveStylist is built around a minimal data model. We do not require an email address or login. Your account is identified only by an anonymous device identifier (a randomly-generated UUID stored on your device).

• Camera Data: While a session is active, your front-facing camera streams cropped frames (eye, mouth, body) to our AI vision pipeline. Frames are processed in memory and are not persisted to disk on our servers.
• Voice Data: Microphone audio is streamed in real time to Google's Gemini Live API for transcription and dialogue. We do not store the raw audio. Transcripts are kept only as part of your session memory (see below).
• Profile Data: The name, favorite color, optional stylist nickname, and language preference you provide during onboarding.
• Session Data: Start time, end time, duration, and a short text summary of each session ("session memory") so the stylist can reference past sessions.
• Generated Images: Style preview images generated during sessions are temporarily hosted on Fal.ai's content delivery network. We do not retain copies on our servers.
• Subscription Data: If you purchase Premium, an anonymous subscriber record is kept by RevenueCat (which integrates with Apple App Store and Google Play). We do not see your payment details.

We do not collect email addresses, real names, contacts, location, or device contact lists. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide real-time AI-powered style and beauty advice during a session.
• To remember your preferences and recent sessions so the stylist can be personal across visits.
• To enforce subscription limits (free trial vs. Premium).
• To diagnose and fix bugs.

3. Data Sharing & Sub-processors

We do not sell your personal data. To run the service, the following sub-processors handle data on our behalf:

• Google (Gemini API): Real-time voice conversation and computer-vision analysis of camera frames. Data is processed under Google's Enterprise Privacy Commitment.
• Fal.ai: AI image generation for style previews (model: Gemini 2.5 Flash Image, hosted via Fal). Source images and prompts are sent to Fal for inference; generated images are returned via Fal's CDN.
• Eurobase (Scaleway, France): Our application database. All your profile and session data is stored on EU infrastructure (France) and never leaves the EU.
• Google Cloud Run (US): Hosts our backend API and orchestrates the calls above. The backend is stateless — it forwards data; it does not store your session content beyond what's persisted to Eurobase.
• RevenueCat: Subscription management and entitlement checking (only if you purchase Premium). Receives an anonymous subscriber identifier.
• Apple App Store / Google Play Store: Payment processing for subscriptions. We never see your payment details.

4. Data Retention

• Camera frames: processed in memory only; not stored.
• Audio: processed in real time by Google Gemini Live; not stored by us.
• Session memories & profile: retained for as long as your account exists.
• Generated preview images: served from Fal.ai's CDN for a short window (typically up to 24 hours) and not retained by us.

You can delete your entire account from inside the app (Profile → Delete Account). This permanently removes your profile, all session records, and all session memories from our servers.

5. Your Rights (GDPR & similar)

Because we collect almost no personal data, most rights are fulfilled automatically: there is no email or real name to access, correct, or export. You always have the right to:

• Delete your account and all associated data (Profile → Delete Account).
• Stop using the app and uninstall it (the local device ID is destroyed).
• Cancel your subscription at any time via your device's subscription settings.

6. Data Security

All network traffic is encrypted in transit using TLS. Data at rest in Eurobase is encrypted by the underlying database. API keys for sub-processors are stored in Google Secret Manager and are never embedded in the app.

7. Children's Privacy

LiveStylist is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
